Statutory Audit in a Franco-German Environment

Brahms France SAS and Cézanne SAS, both subsidiaries of a German group, manufacture and sell pharmaceutical specialties in France. The MRI correspondent in Berlin, the Dr. Röver & Partner KG firm, has long been responsible for auditing the consolidated accounts of Brahms AG. Over the years, the relative share of the two French companies in the consolidated accounts of the group has grown significantly. As a result, the senior management of Brahms AG decided to look for an auditor fully conversant with the differences between French and German practices.

The Dr. Röver & Partner KG firm advised its German client to contact COFFRA a firm enjoying all the necessary expertise in the transformation of French financial statements in accordance with the German HB II standards. The first year, COFFRA sent an experienced member of its staff to Berlin to assist the German parent company during the audit of its consolidated accounts by members of the Dr. Röver & Partner KG firm.

The following year, COFFRA was appointed auditor of the two French subsidiaries.
The Brahms group now has an experienced contact in France, capable of providing it with high-quality auditing services while simultaneously managing the interface between the French subsidiaries and their German parent company.
